Beryl Bows In: Hurricane Season 2018 Begins

Here we go.
But, don't be alarmed! Forecasters assure us Beryl is no threat to South Florida.
Hurricane-force winds extend only 10 miles from the center, making the storm extraordinarily compact. The system, about 1,140 miles from the islands of the eastern Caribbean, is moving west at 14 mph. The Category 1 storm is expected to achieve wind speeds of 85 mph over the next day before gradually weakening to tropical storm force before reaching the Caribbean. It is expected to die out late this weekend.
Nonetheless, we'll keep a weather eye on the horizon, as usual!
