Local Knowledge Lends The Lads A Leg Up!
Team Alvimedica Takes Third In Lisbon

When we hit the racks after a long day in the bilges yesterday, our crew's favorite Volvo Ocean Race boat, Team Alvimedica, was in fifth place with just a few hours to go before landing in Lisbon. So, imagine our surprise this morning, when we woke up to news the young guns had fought back in an epic tacking duel with Dongfeng Racing, to snatch a podium spot away from the early leg leaders by FIFTY-FIVE SECONDS!

We can imagine Dongfeng's disappointment after such a trying leg (schizophrenic wind gusts and shark obstacles are no fun) and we wish them better luck next time. That said, we are super proud of the lads on board Team Alvimedica. Now, after some well-earned rest, let's hope they keep the wind in their sails for the In-Port races this weekend.
