Need A Tow? There's An App For That!

The folks at BoatUS have launched a nifty app for iPad and smartphone users (only iPhone and Android for now) that allows you to call for a tow with a simple touch of your device's screen. Your long/lat and membership information are automatically forwarded to BoatUS, making that unfortunate call go just a little more smoothly.

Of course, your well-maintained vessel in the hands of your professional SYS crew would never need a tow but we thought you'd find some of the app's other features interesting. You can:

• Text or Email your boat’s location to other boaters
• Share your raft up anchorage or favorite fishing hole
• Show your boat’s near shore location on Google Maps
• View your Latitude & Longitude (even out of cell range)
